Explore the depths of the earth at over 40 meters.
Accompanied by a guide, walk through more than 200 meters of underground galleries.
Observe exceptional concretions of more than 6 million years.
From room to room, discover the fabulous spectacle of the underground treasures:

To come to the cave, don't forget to wear warm clothes and closed shoes.
In summer as in winter, the cave of Saint-Cézaire is always at 15°C.

The fluorescent waterfall

This 17-meter high fluorescent waterfall was created and realized by Eric L. the Cave's speleologist.

Fluorescein is a dye used in caving and geology to determine the path of underground waters and rivers.
From a test, in another cave, I noticed that under the light of an Ultraviolet (UV) spotlight, the water became fluorescent, with a spectacular visual effect.
In 2012, first test in public with a tank and a pump, just above the waterfall.
After 250 hours of installation, on rope, and full vacuum, inauguration in 2014, with success!
Unique special effect in France.

 

The discovery of the cave

The cave of Saint Cézaire belongs to the Dozol family, a family of farmers.
It was discovered on June 16, 1890. One day, while cultivating his field, Leon Dozol noticed a hole.
Having no idea that it would change his life, he continued to work his land. The hole was used to empty the vegetable waste from his field.
One rainy day changed his plans. He decided to understand the importance of this hole.
He called upon a friend, Dr. Gebhard, who encouraged him to build the cave.
After several years of hard work, it was in 1900 that the cave welcomed its first visitors.
This cave is part of the first leisure activities near Cannes , Grasse.

 

 

The activities of the Domaine de la Grotte

Fun at the Accrobranche Park

This park features 7 acrobatic courses of varying levels of difficulty to test your family's agility and sense of balance!

- 2 courses for children from 0.94 meters
- 5 courses for adults from 1.10 meters

The accrobranche courses are embellished with workshops such as: zip lines, nets, tubes....
The duration of a course is maximum 2h30.

For your safety, Pacaventure thanks you for wearing closed shoes and gloves.
Sports shoes can be lent to you on site, subject to availability.
Concerning gloves, you can buy them on site for 2€.

Discovery trail or orienteering course

This activity is an educational and fun mini hike to do with family or friends.
Adults and children participate together, but approach it in different ways.

The discovery trail

From 16 years old, this activity becomes an educational and playful mini-hike to discover the Mediterranean flora, in 14 steps.

Orienteering

For the youngest, less than 12 years old, this activity becomes an orienteering race where the participants become explorers.
At the end of the course, all you have to do is guess the enigma. If you find it, a surprise will be offered in the cave store!

Archery Games 

This is an archery game. It consists in aiming and hitting the targets of the opposite camp.
The team and strategy game is played with a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 12.

 

 

Duration of the game: 25 minutes maximum
Sessions of 4 to 12 participants are organized.
The activity is accessible from 8 years old.

Archery game provides you with:
- A premium ambidextrous fiberglass bow, adapted to the size of the person.
- Arrows with foam tips.
- Gloves are not mandatory but strongly recommended.

During the Easter, summer and autumn vacations, the domain opens an activity area for children.

Electric quads circuit

A mini quad circuit is proposed for your little children.
Accessible from 4 years old, your little ones will have fun in safety.

Playground

It's time to jump and bounce, with the bouncy castles and the trampoline!
From the age of 3, come and have fun in the inflatable structure in the shade of the pines.
The session lasts 10 minutes.
