The Domaine du Rayol

Located in the commune of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, between Le Lavandou and Saint-Tropezthe Domain is a botanical garden of 20 hectares created in 1989. Nestled in the heart of the Massif des Maures, the domain offers an exceptional panorama on the Mediterranean Sea.

Visit this protected nature reserve, where local flora and fauna have been preserved. The botanical garden contains more than 2,000 Mediterranean, exotic and subtropical plant species from all five continents. Discover a wide variety of landscapes, from pine forests to citrus gardens and cactus beds.

Guided tour

The Domaine du Rayol offers guided tours for groups and individuals. You can discover the different plant species, as well as the history and culture of Mediterranean gardens.
Tours are available in French, English and German.

Activities for children

Hands in the ground

Children discover the garden and gardening: observation of different plant species, exploration of the soil and search for insects, learning about the life cycle of plants, and hands-on workshops.

• The registration of an accompanying adult is mandatory.
• For children from 6 to 12 years old.
• Every Wednesday at 2pm during spring and autumn vacations.
• Single price: 14 € per person (child and adult).

The little beasts of the garden

The children discover the small insects that live in our gardens: ants, spiders and many others... They observe and draw them to know them better, and develop their knowledge about the environment.

• Every Saturday at 10:30 am during the spring and autumn vacations.
  Single price: 14 € per person (child and adult).

The most

In addition to the guided tour, the Domaine du Rayol also offers gardening workshops, art and photography exhibitions, and concerts in the summer. Otherwise you can also relax at the domain's café-restaurant, which offers Mediterranean cuisine and local products.

- guided tours at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm (duration: 1:30 am)

October :

- guided tour at 2:30 pm (duration : 1h30)

July, August :
- from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm
- guided tours at 10:30 am (duration : 1h30), 2:30 pm and 4 pm (duration : 1h15)

Entrance to the Garden, with free or guided visit :
