The Fondation Venet in Le Muy is dedicated to contemporary art, and in particular to the work of Bernar Venet. It offers visitors the chance to discover and appreciate works of contemporary art while promoting dialogue and artistic education.

The foundation opens its doors to the public from Thursday, June 9 to Friday, September 30. Tickets are available in May.

The Bernar Venet Foundation

Created in 2014 by Bernar Venet, the Fondation Venet is one of the must-do leisure activities in Le Muy. The Fondation Venet is an art institution, this foundation is dedicated to the promotion and preservation of contemporary art, focusing on the work of Bernar Venet himself.

Discover a large collection from all over the world. See works by many of the world's leading contemporary artists.

During your day, you will see works by great artists such as Frank Stella, Bernar Venet, James Turrell, Larry Bell, Arman and many others!

The Venet Foundation also lends works of art to other cultural institutions around the world.

And if you're lucky, you might even run into Bernar Venet...

The park

The Venet Foundation is set in a vast estate of almost 4 hectares, including landscaped gardens, exhibition buildings and visitor reception areas.
The architecture of the site has been designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding nature.

Purpose of the Foundation

The main objective of the foundation is to present and exhibit the works of Bernar Venet, an artist renowned for his exploration of mathematical and philosophical concepts through art.
Venet is known for his use of industrial materials such as steel and concrete in his monumental sculptures.

Permanent and temporary exhibitions

In addition to permanent exhibitions of the work of Bernar Venet, the Foundation also organizes temporary exhibitions featuring other contemporary artists.
These exhibitions offer visitors an immersive experience in the world of contemporary art, enabling them to discover new artistic trends and expressions.

Current exhibition HOMAGE TO DAVID TUDOR

From June 1 to September 30
This exhibition pays tribute to American composer David Tudor (1926-1996).

This exhibition, supported by Wolfgang and Anne Titze, presents in the Galerie de Sea Tails, a film made in collaboration with American experimental filmmaker Molly Davies, artist Jackie Matisse (1931-2021) and David Tudor himself. Sea Tails was originally presented in 1983 at the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

The exhibition at the Fondation Venet offers an immersive experience of space through sound, movement and color, creating a visual and auditory environment that plays with the viewer's memory and perception.
Jackie Matisse's underwater kite tails, presented in the exhibition space, extend the experience of immersion in color and light initiated by the film Sea Tails.

Schedules and booking

 

For the summer season, the foundation opens its doors to the public from Thursday June 1 to Saturday September 30, 2023.
Visits are from 10 a.m. to 4.15 p.m.
The Foundation in 2023 is open for guided tours, by reservation only, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and some Saturdays.
