Valdeblore

Situated on the edge of the Mercantour National Park, the resort offers many winter activities.
The main activities are winter sports with its ski resort and its ESF ski school, the Tyrolean traverse, sleigh rides, hiking, the via ferrata of Baus de La Frema, and the visit of the Mercantour farm ....
To do absolutely 2 unusual leisures: the biggest tyrolienne of France or the summer luge.
If you want to spend a weekend, the resort offers different accommodations in all seasons .

 

Ski resort

The ski resort is located at an altitude of 1800 meters, a true sanctuary for winter sports enthusiasts.
Several activities are possible, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowscoot, snowshoeing, Tyrolean traverse.
For fans of ski touring, there are secure trails in the ski area.

The resort has 30 km of slopes adapted for every level.
The slopes with the name of plants are divided into :

5 green
6 blue
8 red
2 black

It also has 1 chairlift and 5 ski lifts. A tobogganing area is freely accessible (under your responsibility).

Restaurant des pistes

For your lunch break, you have several choices:

• At the top of the slopes, a restaurant at the Colmiane peak
• At the start of the chairlift a restaurant
• At the bottom of the resort there are many restaurants offering a wide range of choices. For those who prefer to picnic, there is a small mini-market.

Ski rental

On the snow front, you will find equipment rental shops: skis, boots, snowboards, sledges, ski touring packs... everything you need to equip yourself.

A little tip: a flyer with a map of the slopes and a practical guide are available from shopkeepers. It will help you to find your way around the area, to find restaurants, toilets, sledging tracks...

ESF the French ski school

 

A family ski resort, La Colmiane offers lessons, from the age of 3, at theESF, the French ski school.
A fun way to learn your child's favourite winter sports.

The school has a kindergarten. The Piou-Piou club has a treadmill, merry-go-round and mini-ski for your children's first glides.

The ESF offers courses adapted to everyone.
To improve your skiing, learn or discover a new sport such as cross-country skiing, biathlon and snowshoeing.
Group or private courses for teenagers.
For adults, tailor-made courses, off-piste or telemark skiing.
People in wheelchairs can also enjoy the mountains with the ESF thanks tohandiskiing.

The largest zip line in France

 

La Colmiane has the largest zip line in the world, consisting of 2 lines, with a total length of 2663 metres.
Fly over the resort while enjoying the scenery, a breathtaking view of the mountains and lakes.
You can reach speeds of up to 130km/h, a guaranteed thrill.

This activity can be done in summer as well as in winter. Remember to dress warmly, especially in winter!

Mercantour Farm

Marc from the Mercantour farm proposes different activities for the winter:

- Horse-drawn carriage or sleighrides
- SKI JOËRING: a new sensation of sliding, behind a horse on your skis, have fun taking bumps, slaloms or strolling.
This activity can be done solo or in duo.

La Colmiane is accessible by car from Nice via the :

M6202 direction Digne,
M2205 direction Valdeblore La Colmiane, M2565 to the villages of Valdeblore

By bus, line 90 of Ligne d'Azur allows you to get there in less than 2 hours, from Nice Grand Arénas, near the airport.
