The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) in Nice is one of the most important museums on the French Riviera. Located in the heart of the city of Nice, admire a fascinating collection of modern and contemporary art, as well as temporary exhibitions and cultural events throughout the year.
The museum
The MAMAC of Nice covers a vast period from the late 1950s to the present. The structure of the museum reconciles two elements that are representative of Nice's architecture: Sardinian urban planning and the exotic utopia of the Belle Époque.

The exhibition spaces are arranged on four levels. The first level houses the temporary exhibitions, the second and third levels are reserved for the collections. The first floor houses the museum's contemporary gallery. There are 10 exhibition rooms. The main entrance and the museum store are located on the forecourt.
The permanent collection and exhibitions
The MAMAC includes more than 1,200 works of modern and contemporary art, ranging from abstract art to pop art to the New Realism movement. See works by artists such as Yves Klein, Andy Warhol, Niki de Saint Phalle, Ben Vautier and Arman.
The museum's temporary exhibitions feature fascinating exhibitions of contemporary and digital art.

The PLUS
You can participate in educational activities organized by the museum, such as guided tours and art workshops for children and adults. The workshops offer hands-on activities to discover contemporary art and its techniques.

Opening hours
Museum open every day except Monday.
From November 1st to April 30th: from 11 am to 6 pm.
From May 2nd to October 31st: from 10 am to 6 pm.
The museum is closed on January 1, Easter Sunday, May 1, and December 25.
Prices
Full price: 10 €
All exits are final
Free: for under 18s, students, jobseekers, recipients of minimum social benefits and people with disabilities and their companions. On presentation of a proof of entitlement.
Accessibility
The MAMAC is accessible to people with reduced mobility (except for the terraces) via the elevator at the exit of the Promenade des Arts parking lot (street level).
