The Asian Art Museum is located on the artificial lake of Phoenix Park. A building designed by the Japanese architect Kenzo Tange. Visit many exhibitions related to Asia.

The collection

The Asian Art Museum evokes the spirit of the major civilizations of Asia, India, Southeast Asia, China and Japan. Discover the museum's classical and contemporary works on :

Buddhism: Buddha statue, Amida Nyorai meditating...
China: immortality tree (coin tree), kneeling Mingqi lady, Phoenix...
Japan: Andô Naoyuki armor, Haniwa horse...
India: cosmic Ganesh lady, royal throne feet...
Southeast Asia: buffalo, Vishnu, mythical lions...

In addition to the most notable civilizations of the Asian continent (China, Japan, India), the existence of other cultures is evoked, by touches, through a few pieces of craftwork and sacred art.
