The visit to the Marc Chagall Museum is conceived as a poetic journey into the artist's world.
Founded around the masterly cycle of the Biblical Message, the collection consists of nearly 1000 works that testify to the great diversity of the artist's artistic practices.
Paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, but also stained glass, tapestry and mosaics make up a unique body of work in which technical virtuosity, a hymn to colour and a universal message of peace are combined.

The Museum and its garden

View from the sky of the Marc Chagall Museum in Nice
In a modernist, open and luminous architecture, the Museum was designed by André Hermant during the artist's lifetime.
Marc Chagall (1887-1985) incorporated exceptional works such as The Creation of the World. Magnificent stained glass window bathing the concert hall in its blue light. The building was designed as a house where spirituality promotes serenity.

The Garden
Located on the Cimiez hill, the museum is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden, composed by the landscape gardener Henri Fisch in a harmony of green, blue and white.
The very flowery garden that borders it reflects this quietness with Mediterranean essences.
Concerts, events
Visit the Museum in a different way with its cultural season: Concerts, events with the ballets of Monte Carlo or the MANCA festival, or the conservatory ... are organized during the year.
