Works by Matisse

The collection of the Matisse Museum in Nice is unique in the world, in that it brings together a set of works and objects from the artist's collection or from his heirs.
Most of these works and objects come directly or almost directly from the studio of Henri Matisse, and therefore constitute an exceptional testimony. During your visit you will enter the intimacy of Matisse. Thus through this course the museum makes you relive the painter in which his works and objects respond.
The interest of the collection lies in the panorama that the museum of Nice offers since the first paintings. Discover his works from 1890 to the gouache papers from the end of his life, and the presentation of all the techniques of expression of the artist.
The Matisse Museum also keeps the artist's personal objects, which allows you to enter the intimacy of his creation.
