Villa and Gardens Ephrussi de Rothschild

Located between Nice and Monaco, at the top of Cap Ferrat, the sumptuous Villa was built in the Belle Époque by Béatrice de Rothschild. Surrounded by magnificent gardens overlooking the Mediterranean, it houses the Baroness's rich art collections.
It took seven years for one of the most original women of the Riviera, Baroness Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, to build one of the most beautiful sites on the French Riviera.
Over the years, she became one of the greatest collectors of her century, and turned her home into a collector's house where paintings by masters (Fragonard, Boucher, Carpaccio, Tiepolo...), rare furniture and porcelains from the Royal Manufacturers of Sèvres and Vincennes are displayed alongside each other.
The decor and the remarkable collections testify to the Baroness's love of art and travel. Thus, the covered patio transports the visitor to Renaissance Italy thanks to its pink marble columns from Verona, while the private salons and apartments plunge the visitor into the sumptuous atmosphere of 18th century France.
The 9 gardens surrounding the Villa are decorated with colonnades, waterfalls, ponds, flowerbeds and trees of rare species: Spanish, Florentine, Lapidary, Japanese, Exotic, Rose, Provençal, French and Sèvres gardens.
