What could be better than discovering the beautiful island of Porquerolles? A place of relaxation and breathtaking scenery, we show you the island's must-sees.

If you're planning to spend a day there with family or friends, you've come to the right place! We've put together some top tips to help you make the most of your day on Porquerolles Island.

A total change of scenery 15 minutes from the coast by boat.

What could be more normal than taking the boat to go to an island... The island of Porquerolles offers you a total change of scenery and this less than 15 minutes from Hyères at the start of the Fondue Tower.

Paradise for young and old!

Once on the island of Porquerolles, it's hard, even unlikely, to get bored - there's so much to do!

With its 54 km of marked trails, you can, on foot or by bike (electric or not), discover magnificent landscapes overlooking breathtaking beaches.

Chosen as the most beautiful beach in Europe!

Among the 4 most beautiful beaches of the island, La Courtade beach, the Argent beach, the Langoustier beach and the Notre Dame beach located 3 km east of the village, was elected a few years ago the most beautiful beach in Europe. That's all there is to it!

With its crystalline water, fine sand and shallow water, you should not forget your mask and snorkel.

"Here you are in a national park ladies, gentlemen!!!"

The park was created in 1963, and all species are protected. It is therefore impossible to hunt or fish here. Throughout the year, Porquerolles welcomes researchers from all over the world to observe the island's flora and fauna.

A small tasting break at Mr PERSINSKY's !

After all these efforts, what could be more natural than to go and taste a small glass of fresh rosé. On the island: 4 wine estates share the corks.

Our favourite was the Persinsky estate. Situated very close to the village, the owner himself gave us a tasting of his red, rosé and white wines under huge hundred-year-old umbrella pines. Magnificent moment rocked by the sound of cicadas.

It's hard to get the bikes back, but don't worry, cars are not allowed on Porquerolles.

There are several establishments for you to eat and drink. Most of them offer traditional local specialities from the south of our beautiful France (meat, fish, pizzas, salads). There is something for all tastes and budgets.

For an aperitif, we recommend the restaurant bar l'Escale with its breathtaking view of the port and the sunset.

To eat, we chose the restaurant O'Tobago, located on the central square of the village. David and his team will propose you a traditional menu with reasonable prices. Particularity of the boss: he always has a smile!

And what a pleasure to see the children playing under our eyes in the middle of this large central square without any car. No risk for our children. A pure moment of relaxation for the parents.

Fondation Carmignac, a must do!

A permanent and constantly evolving exhibition, this foundation located just a few pedal turns from the centre will transport you into multiple universes. Many surprises await you, especially at the very beginning of your visit. We won't tell you more, the best thing to do is to go there.

If you'd like to spend several days on the island of Porquerolles, there are several options available through the tourist office. You can rent a boat and discover magnificent coves only accessible by sea.

Also, a diving club will offer you some beautiful wrecks to visit or other coral reefs with, if you are lucky, some octopus and groupers.

In short, you don't have to travel halfway around the world to find heavenly beaches and nice people.

Just a 15-minute boat ride away from Hyères!
Come to the island of Porquerolles!
