Two beautiful days in Monaco

Located just a few kilometers from the Italian Riviera, the Principality of Monaco is one of the most prestigious places in the world.
I'm going to tell you about some of Monaco's must-see tourist districts.

On the Rock, let yourself be guided on a tour of the Prince's Palace and watch the changing of the guard every day at noon. You will discover Monegasque traditions and the famous Monegasque Carabinieri, guards of the Palace and the princely family.

The Great Cathedral of Monaco 

A Romanesque-Byzantine building which today houses the tombs of deceased Princes. It is located a few meters from the prestigious oceanographic museum. Built during the reign of Prince Albert^I, the oceanographic museum houses multiple aquatic basins and numerous marine species.

The terrace of the Oceanographic Museum offers a view that cannot be ignored. Don't hesitate to visit it. Finally, numerous exhibitions are also organised throughout the year at the Oceanographic Museum.

The Rock of the Principality of Monaco

Still on the Rock of the Principality of Monaco, don't hesitate to stroll through the old tourist towns and enjoy the many gardens around. Don't forget to 11am the changing of the guard !

Down below the Rock, you can discover the Fontvieille district. Indeed, built on the sea, this district is more commercial and houses many business buildings. A particular effervescence reigns there. You will find there above the shopping gallery the Museum of Stamps and Coins. Occasionally, take a trip to the antique car museum.

Moreover, it is in this district that the animal garden of the Principality of Monaco is located. It houses many different species of animals living in exemplary conditions. Allow at least half a day for this visit. Especially if your children want to take advantage of the visit to feed the farm animals.

On the other side, near the port, admire Monaco city and let yourself be carried to the emblematic Casino de Monaco.

You can also go with Le Grand Toursitting on the roof of the Monaco bus company. The tour covers all the tourist attractions, from museums to exotic gardens, business centers, the Casino and the Louis II stadium.

The Rock, Fontvieille and Monte Carlo will no longer hold any secrets for you thanks to the individual explanations transmitted through the headphones. In addition, the bus offers you a one or two-day pass, depending on your choice, giving you free access to the bus at the twelve predefined stops.

More relaxing, don't hesitate to make a quick visit to the Japanese Garden near the Grimaldi Forum. You will find yourself in the heart of a stylized copy of the Great Nature, with its mountain, its waterfall, its square, or its stream.

A visit to the Exotic Garden is just as enjoyable with a cool break in the Grotto of the Exotic Garden.

Before you leave, take a gastronomic break and don't forget to try the specialties of this small country, including barbajuans and the traditional Monegasque fougasse.
