The King of Pop Culture!

The Nice Carnival is 15 days of festivities in the city! From February 17 to March 3, 2024.
Parades of Corsi Carnavalesques (day and night) and flower battles, entertainment, shows... are organized.
This year's theme is the "King of Pop Culture", the Carnival of the great figures of Manga, video games and series!

The Nice Carnival is a not-to-be-missed event on the Côte d'Azur.
Burlesque and magical shows, extravagant floats, big heads and elegant flower battles await you!
The 2024 program has not yet been announced, but check out the 2023 program in the meantime.

Discover the opening ceremony ?

From 2:30 pm, the big parade of the 150th anniversary starts at Place Masséna.
In the heart of Nice, come and attend the 150th Carnival of Nice with a sound and light show
During 1h30 all the participants of the carnival parade:

  • The King and Queen
  • Carnavallon (satirical newspaper)
  • Carnival and floral floats
  • Carnival heralds (messengers) from the city's districts
  • Flag bearer,
  • Musical groups
  • Dancers
  • Guest of honor: Carnival of Rio

The ceremony is free for children 0-12 years old.

The Carnival King

The King of Fashion takes the stage

Closing Ceremony > February 26

See you this February 26 for the closing ceremony. This is the last day of Carnival, where traditionally the King is cremated.

From 4pm onwards, the parade of the carnival people and the Big Heads will start for 2 hours.
This Carnival will be closed by a fireworks display and a great popular and free party.

What is the Carnival Village?

Animations, shows, and food stands are organized free of charge.
Installed for the duration of the Carnival, the village is located in the heart of Nice on the Coulée Verte.

The Square Général Leclerc gives place to artistic animations, food stands, workshops and shows for the young and the old.

Rates and Hours
- Entrance to the Village: FREE
- Opening hours of the Village: from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm
- The Village is open for the duration of the Carnival from February 10th to 26th 2023

Next to the Place Masséna, each day the corsos of the day will be on display.

Guest of honor 2023: Carnival of Rio

For this special edition, it is the Rio Carnival that comes to visit us.
Batucada atmosphere, feather costumes and glitter will be there.

Free tickets for costumers

If you are dressed up during the illuminated carnival corsi and the Grand Corso you can enter for free. The free places are to be collected at the entrance of the pedestrian zones A, B or C (within the limit of the places available per zone).
