Discover the exhibition "Chagall en édition limitée: les livres illustrés" from May 7 to January 9, 2023.
This exhibition highlights the creation of over 100 illustrated books by Chagall himself.
To mark the occasion, the Museum is organizing creative family workshops and treasure hunts. Accompanied by a guide, discover a limited edition by Chagall, and then create your own work.
Don't forget to book, if you wish to be accompanied by a French, English or Italian guide.
Chagall in limited edition
Discover during the Chagall exhibition, the collection of seven books in limited edition.
These books were donated by Marc Chagall's granddaughters, Bella and Meret.
Throughout his life, Chagall maintained an intimate relationship with the written word and books.
It allowed more than one hundred illustrated works in original edition to be published.
"Chagall in limited edition" allows us to discover the various techniques of the print made by Chagall.
From May 7 to January 10, 2023 Discover the 2nd exhibition of the Chagall Museum "the portrait of the Ukrainian refugees" of the photographer Olivier Roller.
His greatest achievements are also on display. You will observe the innovative projects initiated by the art dealer and publisher Ambroise Vollard:
- Les Âmes mortes,
- Les Fables,
- La Bible
After the Second World War, these last projects were made possible by the publisher Tériade.
The exhibition presents some of the artist's less popular works such as the winter letters.
They were created from a collection of poems by Léopold Sédar Senghor and autobiographical books.

The Chagall Museum offers guided tours from 12 years old.
The tours are in French, English or Italian. The duration is 1 hour.

Creative workshops - Introduction to engraving
Creative workshops have been set up on the occasion of the Chagall exhibition in limited editions. Ideal activity to do with your family and your children.
A guide presents illustrations from Marc Chagall's beautiful books.
After reading a book, the guide suggests you create your own illustrations with your children. Become budding creators!
This activity is accessible to children from 4 to 12 years old and their parents.

Tracking game
The treasure hunt is a fun way for children to discover the museum and its exhibition in a different way.
Armed with a map and accompanied by a guide, find the mysterious handprint of Marc Chagall.
Thanks to clues, stories told, and drawings to make, come and solve the mystery.
This game takes place during the summer season from July 22 to August 21.

Opening hours
Open daily except Tuesdays, January 1, May 1 and December 25.
May 1 to October 31: 10 am to 6 pm
November 1 to April 30: 10 am to 5 pm
Ticket sales stop 30 minutes before the museum closes. Evacuation of the museum rooms begins 15 minutes before closing time.
End of the year period
The museum closes exceptionally at 4pm, instead of 5pm, on December 24th and 31st, the eve of the end of the year holidays.
The ticket office is open until 3:30 pm.
