The infinte Woman in porquerolles this summer

The Infinite Woman exhibition

"The Infinite Woman" delves into history, from the founding myths to the most contemporary and transgressive visions of the female body, revealing their emancipatory potential.
The exhibition highlights the reappropriation of desire and the celebration of bodies that defy Western standards of beauty and power.

The exhibition brings together major works from the Carmignac Collection, such as those by Sandro Botticelli and Roy Lichtenstein, with exceptional loans from Louise Bourgeois and other key works of modern and contemporary art.
It also presents creations specifically created for the occasion, enriching the discourse on the challenges of social and artistic norms.

Photo of the exhibition

Featuring such diverse artists as Judy Chicago, Michael Armitage, and Lee Bul, "The Infinite Woman" blurs gender boundaries and invites a redefinition of femininity in art.
Come and enjoy a profound and revealing artistic experience that celebrates and questions female representations in their infinite diversity.

The Carmignac Collection is rooted in Edouard Carmignac's love of contemporary art.
From the outset, the collection has been open-minded and unbiased.
Today, it comprises more than 300 works from the 20th and 21st centuries, including major creations by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gerhard Richter and Martial Raysse, as well as emerging artists and works from developing countries.
This collection illustrates the Foundation's desire to preserve and enliven this diverse body of work.

The Carmignac Photojournalism Prize, launched in 2009 in response to the photojournalism crisis, aims to support photographers who produce investigative reports on human rights violations and global geostrategic issues.
The annual prize not only provides financial assistance, but also logistical support for the production of these reports, which are then showcased through traveling exhibitions and publications.
