The Face to Face exhibition
This exhibition is organised as part of the 10th anniversary of the Bonnard Museum. You will discover an exhibition on the theme of the self-portrait. A theme that has played an essential role in modern painting. Each of the artists reveals a facet of their soul, their sensitivity, their aesthetic choices, their anger or their doubts. In a way, this exhibition reveals the great solitude of the artists in front of their canvas.
In this exhibition you will find 50 artists' self-portraits, including those of :
- Bonnard
- Cézanne
- Chagall
- Maurice Denis
- Henri Goetz
- Matisse
- Picasso
and many others...
50 self-portraits that answer one and the same question: "Who am I?" and "What guides me?"
