The Cannes Film Festival

From Tuesday May 16 to Saturday May 27, 2023, the Cannes Film Festival takes place mainly at the Palais des Festivals.
The festival experience takes the form of several mini-events: screenings, ceremonies and meetings.

It's very difficult to get tickets for the festival's private screenings. However, it is possible to attend the "montée des marches" free of charge every day. An emblematic moment when celebrities parade down the red carpet before the film screenings.

Climbing the steps at the Cannes Film Festival

Watch the Cannes Film Festival from the top of the steps!

Thanks to the festival, this is your chance to meet international stars. Beyond the Palais des Festivals, other prestigious venues are frequented by celebrities.

Wait for them in front of Cannes' luxury hotels, such as the Carlton, the Martinez or the Majestic! You can also stay in front of the Côte's private beaches, where stars often gather to soak up the Cannes sun.

Walking up the steps at Cannes remains the ideal option. Some stars agree to sign autographs and take selfies with spectators.

The History of the Cannes Festival
