Cannes 2021 Fireworks Festival
Every year, this international competition awards several prizes:
- Silver Vestal: this competition takes place every year and is composed of 5 competitors who compete for the prize. The jury is composed of 5 to 7 people who will judge the pyrotechnical design and the respect of the chosen theme.
- Golden Vestal: every 4 years, the fireworks awarded a Silver Vestal or a Jury Prize in previous years can compete for this title. The next Golden Vestal takes place this year.
There is also the annual Audience Award, awarded by the audience. The Audience Award allows all festival spectators to participate freely in the competition. Discover real fire choreographies with a free theme and to the rhythm of a musical band. You will be amazed by this universal art under the starry sky of Cannes.

Cleaning up the Bay of Cannes
Since 2005, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès has been committed to cleaning up the bay and the seabed during the Pyrotechnics Festival. From the first fire of the festival, a first boat equipped with long-range projectors goes out for 2 hours to collect waste on the surface. The next day, two divers went out again to collect the waste on the seabed.
