The peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and its prestigious villas!

The peninsula of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is dotted with prestigious villas. Unfortunately, most of them are not open to the public. However, it is possible to catch a glimpse of one or two of them at a bend in the road.

So, here is a small guided tour in two of these precious jewels of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat .

Firstly, the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschildan impressive blend of styles, both for its art collection and its 9 gardens.

Indeed, the Baroness de Rothschild wished to have the best of each era. Indeed, as an objet d'art even if harmony is not always obvious. This makes a visit to the villa a real jewel case full of jewels.

You'll also have the opportunity to cross 9 gardens: Spanish, Lapidary and Florentine.

Also, the French garden with its musical water games. I confess it's my favourite!

Secondly, Santo sospir the villa tattooed by jean Cocteau .

Thus, from 1949 and during more than 3 years Jean Cocteau will paint the walls, the doors ... of this house.

Now, mosaic frescoes and tapestry dress Santo Sospir.

(Until the 1st quarter of 2020 the villa will remain closed to the public during the restoration work). Therefore, we can't wait for the work to be finished to enjoy this magical place!
