From June 8 to 12, 2021, the Musée des Beaux-Arts invites you to the first edition of "Slavic Week".
The program includes a week of events focusing on Eastern European cultures.
Artists and lecturers will compete inventively to share their surprisingly rich imaginations and stories with spectators.

What is "Slavic Week"?

This "Slavic Week" event is for everyone.
You'll be able to see a circus, listen to Russian and Gypsy music, poetry and theater.
Conferences will be held on Wednesday and Friday. During this Slavic week, the Musée des Beaux Arts offers guided tours in Russian and Ukrainian.

Here is the programme

Tuesday June 8 at 2pm: Conference
Topic "Princess Kotschoubey: women and creativity in the 19th century".

Wednesday, June 9: Museum tours in Russian and Ukrainian and musical entertainment
11 a.m. and 3 p.m. - Museum tours in Russian and Ukrainian
7pm - Singing, harp and poetry "The poetess Marina Tsvetaieva" by the company La petite cabine

Thursday June 10: Lecture and circus show
2pm - Lecture "L'attrait de la Côte d'Azur chez les écrivains russes, mythe et réalité" (The appeal of the Côte d'Azur to Russian writers: myth and reality)
by Hélène Metlov and Irène Sokologorsky
9pm - Circus show "Russia and You" by the company Les hommes de mains

Friday June 11 at 3pm: Lecture
Topic: "The Slavic world in the collection of the Musée des Beaux-Arts".

Saturday, June 12 Museum tours in Russian and Ukrainian and concert
11am and 3pm - Guided tours of the museum in Russian and Ukrainian
8pm - Concert with Russian and Gypsy sounds by Lena Quintet
