The village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a medieval village perched on a hilltop 15 minutes from the sea. It offers an exceptional panorama, and a mediterranean climate appreciated by tourists.

Discover this resort filled with history and activities of all kinds.

The village is typically Provencal and has an important historical and cultural heritage.

It was entirely surrounded by 16th century ramparts built on the orders of François I.

When you arrive, you will inevitably come across the famous inn La Colombe d'or. It has hosted many artists such as: Yves Montand, Marc Chagall, Modigliani, Picasso, or Matisse ... and still houses many of their works

The Maeght Foundation

The Maeght Foundation is dedicated, by the will of its founders, to modern and contemporary art. It has one of the most important European collections of works from the 20th and 21st centuries.

More than 13,000 works from the permanent collection are on view in temporary exhibitions and on display.

The gardens become the ideal place for monumental sculptures, in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The CAB Foundation

The CAB Foundation is housed in a 1950s building that was completely renovated by French architect Charles Zana.

This foundation reflects the collection of Hubert Bonnet and his passion for minimal art. It is inspired by the constructivist period until today, and presents the work of singular artists.

Anecdote!

If you look down on the streets of the village, you can admire the ground covered with pebbles.

For the record, the streets of Saint-Paul were originally made of earth and it was Mayor Marius Issert who had them paved in the early 1950s, according to Provencal tradition.

The small farmers' market

On Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9am to 2pm, the small market of Saint-Paul takes place on the place du jeu de boules.

Taste the Provencal and artisanal products and discover the flavors of the Mediterranean.

The small producers offer you: fruits, vegetables, cold cuts and cheeses from small producers and many other typical products of the region!

Fancy a glass of wine?

Under the western ramparts of the village is a small organic and biodynamic vineyard.

Julien, who takes care of this wine estate, invites you to share a unique and friendly experience with the wine growers.
